World Cup 2006 Posters
Our design prompt was to create a poster to advertise or raise awareness for an event. I chose to design a series of posters to advertise 2006 World Cup matches locally in the German cities where the matches would be taking place.
Drawing inspiration from the existing branding, I created a circular “grid” and set the text in a way that would evoke the movement and excitement of both the existing branding and the soccer matches. In the existing branding, each city was assigned its own unique color scheme, which I used to further enforce the branding and set each poster apart.
